Lifetime deals don't last forever

You might have heard the term "lifetime deal" before, and you might be thinking that it sounds like something you could use to save money on your business. But it isn't quite as simple as that. So let's clear up some confusion around what lifetime deals actually are and how they work, so you can decide whether or not they're right for you.

Lifetime deals are often limited-time offers (LTAs). They're simply special promotions that last for a limited amount of time, usually anywhere from 24 hours to a few months depending on the retailer. As soon as those initial sales are up, lifetime subscriptions revert back to their regular price — and sometimes even go up! It pays off to check back frequently if there's a product or service in particular that catches your eye; if it was offered at an LTA rate during its first five days but has since returned to its regular price (or gone up), then now may be an opportune time to buy before prices go even higher again later down the road.

Lifetime Deal vs. Monthly Subscriptions

Lifetime deals are often at a higher price than a monthly subscription. However, you are getting access to all of the benefits of your chosen lifetime deal for only one payment instead of recurring payments every month.

For example: If you would normally pay $100/month for a single software package and there is a lifetime deal available at $300 (this would be an extreme discount), then this is a great way to save money on that software package over time.
